Unable to update Account# field using data loader

While analysing few accounts, i see that many have incorrect account #s. Account# for us is a text field. But now we are populating it with numbers.
Few have text in them so i tried to make those account# fields blank using data loader.

But though the file says success. I dont see the field blank. I have 44 such records.

What step i might be missing here. I dont want to do this manually.

Hi Poornima,

Go to the Data Loader settings and select "Insert null values". Any blank cell would turn the field to a blank value.
Make sure you have no other blank cell in your csv file, and also make sure you unselect the checkbox after your update or you may have bad surprises in the next update with the DL
