Hi Salesforce brain trust - I'm using a dynamic dashboard for a SDR manager to use in 1:1 meetings with direct reports, and want to enable him to view the dashboard as specified users on his team so the dash will only show that user's data.
The challenge is that while these users own some records (e.g. tasks) they are not the owner of others (events, opportunities), so when viewing the dashboard as that user, some records attributed to them via a custom field do not show up.
Questions:
- Is there a way to set up the reports or "view as" user for the dash such that it will pull from the appropriate custom field for the object?
- If not, is there another way to ensure the dash shows the correct data for a given user without (a) creating a separate dash per each direct report or (b) having to modify the underlying reports before each meeting with a different direct report?
Suggestions? Questions? Ideas?
