Hi Nancy,

Looks like this is still an idea:

Ability to report on Users' Permission Set Assignments

Hi Nancy,

It seems possible using a data loader.

Find Users who are not assigned to a Permission Set

Hi Nancy,

When I would want to investigate what Permission Sets are not used, and not feel like searching the appexchange for solutions like the above mentioned, "Profile and Permission Set Helper"; I would probably start in Workbench by creating two CSV file exports.

1. Export of Assigned Permission Sets, by way of SOQL on the PermissionAssignment object

SELECT Id, Assignee.Name, PermissionSet.Name,PermissionSet.Type FROM PermissionSetAssignment
WHERE Assignee.isactive= true
ORDER BY PermissionSet.Name ASC

2. Export of Permission Sets, by way of SOQL on the PermissionSet object

SELECT Id,Label,Name,Type FROM PermissionSet
WHERE IsOwnerByProfile = false

From here use a simple VLOOKUP would help you out. This exercise should not take too much time.

p.s. I know it is possible that the IDEA page might list something similar, but here goes.
