Campaign Member status can't be updated manually after MCC

Hello there,

we've noticed that in campaign records, in the Campaign Member Statuses Related List, we can't edit the status values anymore.

Related List Campaign Member Statuses
It seems that this has something to do with the Marketing Cloud Connect that we set up - and with the Object "Campaign Member Configuration" that is created automatically when you install the MCC Managed Package:

Setup Campaign Member Configuration
Anyway, we would like to keep using our previous Campaign Member statuses and adapt them manually.

Does anyone have an idea how this can be done?

Thanks in advance for your support,
Eva

Hi Keiji,
thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, it does not solve our problem, as it is a general description of how to add new statuses to the Campaign Members Related List.
The problem we have is that the status values there are not editable at all anymore, so I'm sure a change in Setup has to be carried out to solve this.

Any information on what the object "Campaign Member Configuration" exactly does would also be helpful. I haven't been able to find any detailed information on that in the documentation.

Best regards,
Eva

Hi Eva,

At this time, not all campaigns can be fixed at once, and each campaign must be fixed individually. Customers who want to be able to manage multiple campaigns at once should visit IdeaExchange and vote upvote the Customizable Campaign Member Status Values picklist.

Hi Keiji,

actually, we're not trying to manage campaign statuses for several campaigns, but only for one. According to the link you sent me in your first comment, we'd need to take the following steps:

  1. To add a new status, click New on the 'Campaign Member Statuses' related list.
  2. To change which status is the default, click Change Default Status.
  3. To change a status name, click Edit next to the status.
  4. To change whether the status counts as responded, click Edit next to the status. Members with statuses that count as 'Responded' are tallied in the 'Responses in Campaign' field on the Campaign.

The problem here is that we don't have a "New" button on the 'Campaign Member Statuses' related list anymore, nor is there anything like "Change default Status". We cannot edit status names, either.

Does this have anything to do with the "Campaign Member Configuration" Object that has been created by installing the MCC managed package?

Best regards,
Eva
