Help creating report

Hi All,

I mainly work out of Salesforce Knowledge to create a knowledge base for our customers.  I am struggling to create a suite of reports to gauge the effectiveness of our articles.

I'm wondering if someone here can help me.

I am trying to do a report that has the following:

Columns: # cases associated with the article, total views, article name
Filters: article record type, publication status, data categories

I've had zero luck with the report builder so far.  Sometimes a column is available for a report and sometimes it is not, seemingly with no rhyme or reason to why it is not available.  Same for filters.

Any help would be welcome!

Hi Martin,

Try to start with a report that has the objects you want. Its name would be Articles and Cases. If this type of report does not exist, you will never see the columns or the filters you want, so you will have to create it.
