Activities with Accounts vs Tasks and Events report

I am hoping someone on here might have a solution. I want to run an activity report, without duplicating the activity for every Contact invited to the Event. Generally, a Task and Event report type would work, but i also need to reference a field from the Account that the activity was related to, and dont have that option with a Task and Event report type.

Any ideas?

Below were the steps i used to resolve.

1.) Created a "Activities with Contacts" report
2.) Added the Activity ID as a column
3.) Used the column dropdown box on Activity ID, to show Unique Count
4.) Used the Unique count value as the values on the reports/dashboards.

You'll need to use either "Activity with Accounts", or "Activity with Contacts" or create a Custom Report Type
