I have EAC with Inbox configured and using Salesforce for Outlook plugin. When composing and sending an email I am not seeing the email in the activity record. Use Case is as follows:

 

1. SF Inbox with EAC configured in org

 

2. Compose email in Salesforce for Outlook plugin

 

3. Address email to contact on an Account

 

4. Account name included in subject of email

 

5. Email contains attachment and body includes some text

 

6. After sending the email, the recipient receives it.

 

7. When selecting the email in the Outlook sent folder the side-panel shows that the email is related to the Contact, Account, and Opportunity records.

 

8. In SF native, no Activity record for the email exist (but again, it looks like it's related in the side-panel)

 

Please note that I tried this same sequence and included the Email to Salesforce address in the BCC field and the record shows up in SF native Activity record. From my understand with EAC I should not have to manually add the Email to Salesforce address to the BCC. If my understanding is incorrect, please help me with gaining a better understanding.

 

Is there something I'm missing that is causing the email to not log in the Activity record?
