In the Trailhead badge User Authentication, second exercise "Customize Your Login Process with My Domain (https://trailhead.salesforce.com/content/learn/modules/identity_login/identity_login_my_domain)" it seems My Domain is already setup and the domain name is greyed out and not editable in My Domain Settings.

I understand Salesforce have changed the initial settings for My Domain for new environments - as of Winter 21 release they provide a My Domain already configured.

The Trailhead exercise states:

"NOTE: If you see "My Domain Settings" instead of "My Domain Step 1", then your org already has a deployed My Domain—probably because it was created in Winter ’21 or later. To rename your My Domain instead, click Edit in My Domain Settings and enter a new My Domain name in the Rename your My Domain field."

The second sentence appears to be incorrect - I cannot rename the My Domain. This article (https://help.salesforce.com/articleView?id=domain_name_rename.htm&type=5) suggests you can only rename a deployed My Domain, but my assumption is that the My Domain is deployed to users, as I can't see the "Deploy to Users" button mentioned in step 3 of this article (https://help.salesforce.com/articleView?id=domain_name_testing_and_rollout.htm&type=5).

How do I know if My Domain is deployed? And if it is, how do I rename it?

Thanks in advance.

    Hi Steph,

On My Domain page, you would be seeing step 4. It means My Domain is already configured/deployed. No action required.

For this challenge, you need not to change/rename myDomain. After Winter'21 release, My Domain is configured by Salesforce and it cannot be editable after deployment.

To pass this challenge, you need to change the login background color to black.
