I need to run a report where I can sum the amount of accounts with activities, as well as the number of activities within those accounts.

I want to know how many Accounts have Activities, as well as how many Activities have been completed in those Accounts.  I can easily run an Activities report to say, 'yesterday, we completed xxx Activities, and here are the Accounts for those activities.'  I cannot find a way to answer 'yesterday, we completed xxx Activites in xxx Accounts' without exporting the report and running a pivot on Account Name.  This seems like it should have a simple solution that I am just missing.  Thank you.

That's going to be difficult to do with a Report, because Activity records are archived after 365 Days, so they would not be included in your Report Counts.

Aside from that, to get the count of unique Account and Activity records I would use an "Activities with Accounts" report and Tom Tobin's "Power of One" technique
