HI Laurie Shumate ,

If you change the role, all sharing access on the role will be recalculated. However, if you are storing the reports for historical trend analysis purposes, we call this feature as Analytical Snapshot, then you will have the old data.  However this is only for reporting purposes, but user access on records will be recalculated as per New Role.
