Does a Pardot campaign attribute first touch to a contact?

I'm just wondering if I upload a prospect list to pardot, can I attribute a specific campaign to those contacts.

If I do, does that mean they can and will only ever be attributed to that campaign?

It sounds like the Pardot Campaign association is a first touch attribution, i.e. the first campaign the contact was assigned/engaged with. Is that correct?

Hi Ying. That's correct. Pardot Campaigns are meant as as first touchpoint, as opposed to a Salesforce campaign which are more of a marketing engagement. You should be able to select the Pardot Campaign of your chocie when importing Prospects into Pardot, and even though a Prospect in Pardot can only have 1 Pardot Campaign at a time, it is possible to change this to a different one if needed.

Thanks,
Mikey

Hi Ying,

 This will help-:

You can try using automation rule to associate prospect to campaign
