Problems with data connection in Excel

I'm attempting to set up a data connection in Excel to our Salesforce Production and it is not letting me sign in.  I am using the correct credentials because I can log into my instance and I am able to log into Data Loader.  I've tried someone else's credentials.  I've cleared my cache and cookies.  I've restarted my computer.

When I go to log in it seems to refresh the page with a new web address of https:/c.salesforce.com/login-messages/promos.html

How it looks prior to me attemping to log in:

How it looks after I've attempted to log in:

Hi all. We found a workaround for this at our org. It's a registry hack that forces Excel to emulate IE 11 mode when it normally defaults to IE7/compatibility mode which is no longer compatible with the Salesforce login process. If you're not an admin on your machine, you'll have to have someone else make the change but give them this info:
Open Registry Editor and navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\FeatureControl\FEATURE_BROWSER_EMULATION
Right click --> Select 'New' --> DWORD
Name: Excel.exe
Value: 2af8 (hex)

I'm having the same exact problem. I tried logging in as several different users, but I keep running into this issue. Did you ever find a solution to this?

Not as of yet, I've created a case for this as well to see if SFDC has any answers.

Great, thank you! An answer to this would be highly appreciated.

I am having the identical issue as explained by Megumi above.  I entered a SFDC case and they indicate this is a Microsoft issue, but I cannot confirm.  Because the redirect after the initial login attempt is failing, it seems to me this is a Salesforce issue.  The SFDC response:
Thank you for responding and the updated information! Both of the aforementioned products (Excel 365 ProPlus and Salesforce Power Query Connector) are provided by Microsoft, and in regards to the the latter, this connector is a third-party integration to access Salesforce data:

<<Connectors in Power Query>>
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-query/connectors/ (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-query/connectors/" style="color:blue; text-decoration:underline)

If you are seeking assistance with this integration, you will need to reach out to Microsoft support directly.

Just an update. Trying to acces from Power B! Desktop the login goes well. So, by my side I'm facing the problem only if I want to get data using excel.

I am having the same issue, Power BI works but Excel isn't able to connect. here is another thread with the same issue https://trailblazers.salesforce.com/answers?id=9064S000000CmX8QAK#!/feedtype=SINGLE_QUESTION_DETAIL&dc=All&criteria=OPENQUESTIONS&id=9064S000000CmJzQAK (https://trailblazers.salesforce.com/answers?id=9064S000000CmX8QAK#!/feedtype=SINGLE_QUESTION_DETAIL&dc=All&criteria=OPENQUESTIONS&id=9064S000000CmJzQAK)

We reached out to Salesforce, and this was their response:

This appears to be a widespread issue related to the Summer '20 update as there are quite a few people reporting similar issues in the forums.

Bottom line, they've tied this issue to the Summer 20 update, and they're working on a solution.

On my case, just like many others, they stated that since it's a 3rd party to please refer to microsoft :(  Then gave me a thread on Microsoft to follow:
