Why don't email Templates created in Salesforce Lightning appear in Salesforce Inbox app?

Only email templates created in Salesforce Classic show up in the Salesforce Inbox email template function - Lightening ones do not. So every time we need to create an email template we have to switch over to Classic.

How can we make both Classic and Lightening email templates show in the Salesforce Inbox email template feature?

I should add that I'm using Salesforce Inbox IQ on Gmail.

Guarav, it looks like it was insinuated that the incompatability with Lightning email templates and the Gmal app would be addressed in the Spring '19 release.  It's Summer '19 currently and the issue was not addressed, as the templates are still not read in the G Suite Salesforce inbox app.  Any updates as to if and when this will be addressed?
