Salesforce for Excel Connector Office 2016

Hi, I'm hoping someone can help out here.  We have been using this 'Salesforce for Excel' connector (https://developer.salesforce.com/page/Salesforce_Reports_for_Excel) which unfortunately doesn't work in Excel 2016 so, I attempted to download 'Connect for Office' but it is not showing as an Add-in in Excel, anyone have any suggestions for an Excel connector that works in Office 2016 or a workaround to get one of the above working.

Thanks so much for your help.

Hi Jen, thank you for your reply however yes, I have tried this and no luck either.  Although Salesforce Office Edition is showing as installed, it is not showing in Excel anywhere, very frustrating.  The link you gave me although for an Excel connector it is for a dfifferent type for updating data which is different to the one we use which is to pull a report from SFDC.

Have you tried this user guide?
Specifically the following steps should make it show up in the add-ins tab:
5. Run Excel. Click on the green "File" tab, then "Options" (second from the bottom).
6. Click on "Add-Ins" (second from the bottom again), then at the bottom of the page, Manage "Excel
Add-ins" click "Go" button.
7. Click the "Browse"
button on the Popup form and locate the "sforce_connect.xla" file you saved.

Hey, I'm wondering if you were able to store the items in the warehouse (http://trustheritagelogistics.co.uk/warehousing-companies-uk" target="_blank) provided. The products are awesome.
