Hello,

I can't find anything that proves or disproves whether a lead accumulates points prior to conversion. For example, say a prospect clicked a custom url that links to an infographic (something which typically gets 10 points) - and then fills out a form to download an ebook (15 points) - is pardot smart enough to give the prospects points for both sets of activities (25 total) or will it just award the prospect the 15 points?

Many thanks,

Joe

    Hi Joe,

They will only be scored once they are converted to a prospect, i.e. when they have submitted their details and are no longer deemed just a visitor in Pardot. So in your example if the prospect randomly finds a link to the inforgraphic they wouldn't be scored unless they are already in Pardot as a prospect. So it would depend really on how they get to the infographic, as if for example they are emailed it as part of a campaign they would already be in your Pardot as a Prospect and would get scored. Does that make sense?
