Automated opportunity chatter post from a child record event

Hi
My opportunity has a "Competitor's watch" child object. 

When one of the child record has the "Finalized" status, I would like to automate a new chatter post on the opportunity feed.

I use a process builder automation to post a chatter feed, but it does not appear on the opportunity, so the information is lost in the oppty owner feed. 

Do you know how to target the chatter post to a related object ?

Ok makes sense, so when every CompetitorWatch record hits the 'Finalized' status you want it to post a chatter post to the parent Opportunity? - Or is it when only one of the CompetitorWatch records hits 'Finalized'? 

If it's every one then you can do this with a mix of Process Buidler and Flow - https://success.salesforce.com/answers?id=90630000000ZjR6AAK - This should guide you, but obviously change the Account to Opp and Contact to Competitor Watch.

Hi Damien, 

You could create the process on the Opportunity record then check for any of the children to reach the Status = Finalized (Create a rollup to count children with the filter Status) then trigger the post based on that being => 1) 

What's the relationship to the Competitors watch object?

CompetitorWatch records are detail records of the opportunity (child). So this is a 1 Opportunity to N CompetitorWatch relation. 
This is not easy since every "Competitor Watch" has its own lifecycle. I am not sure on how to "call" each one from the opportunity

Sadly my needs is more to post whean each of the Comp. watch is finalized. But I can try your recommanded approach
