Help with spellcheck in email and adding photos

Hello Everyone!

I have a quick question about the embedded emails on Accounts and Contacts.  I would REALLY like to start using the embedded email system within SF, but I have a hard time doing this because of the two reason's below:

1) I have tried following directions I could find online to add a photo(s)/image(s) to my signature and they just don't seem to work.  Are we able to add Images and or logos to our signatures embedded in SF or is this not allowed?
2) The system does not spell check and I make mistakes here and there and do not want to send an email to a client or prospective client with misspelled words.  Is there a place where I turn this functionality on in SF or is there an app I need to install?  Please help

Any suggestions, links or helpful advice would be greatly appreciated!

We've been working hard to get our extension working on Lightning!
If this is still an issue, please give it a go: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/sapling-grammar-checker-a/pjpgohokimaldkikgejifibjdpbopfdc

Hi David,
Re: 2), you can use a browser extension for spell checking, e.g. https://www.grammarly.com/

I installed the extension to chrome, but it doesn't seem to be correcting anything in my emails I draft in Salesforce.  Do I need to enable something in Salesforce to allow this?  If I try to log a call on a case or account or even post to the chatter the Grammarly icon pops up, but not within the body of an email that I try to draft.

David, that's odd, because I specifically tried writing an email before posting my answer and Grammarly totally popped up in there. Can you please share a screenshot, maybe you are writing your email from another place than I did.

Maxim, my apologies for not providing screen shots before, please see below what I was referencing in my previous post (all of these activities were performed within the Account Object):

Logging a Call -
Logging a Call in Account Object

Posting to Chatter -
Posting to Chatter

Attempting to create an Email -
Drafting an Email

As you can see, the Grammarly icon is in the first two screen shots, but not within the body of the email and the system is not attempting to correct my intentionally misspelled words.  Let me know your thoughts and I appreciate your help with this.

Aaaaah, didn't think about the good old Lightning interface. Yeah, Grammarly doesn't work there because it is an iframe within another iframe. You can ask Grammarly support team when/if they are going to support this case. Salesforce is no small potatoes, so Grammarly might be interested.

Curiously enough, you could have had the native browser spell check working there, but Salesforce forces (haha) it to be disabled:

I suppose you can write some dirt simple javascript override for that to run in your browser all the time (or switching to Classic, or changing that to "true" manually every time you want to write an email, because why wouldn't you...), but don't be taking my advice on that, because I don't know enough.

I am not even close to being savvy enough to write some Java code, ha.  But I will take you advice and reach out to Grammarly.  I love SF Lightning, but it is hiccup after hiccup.

Thank you so much for your help!

@Ziang, can you confirm for me if your Chrome-based application WILL work within the email system in Salesforce?  That is currently the only feature not supported by Grammarly.  I just double-checked his within our SF org and Grammarly is still not working in the emails section.

Hi David,

Yes, confirming. You can see an example screenshot below. We've done a bunch of testing, but do let us know if you encounter any edge cases.

I can't seem to get this to work on our org.  It appears that you are using a different utility to sed an email from within your org. Below is a screenshot of what we have currently set up and as you can see the same wording you used in your example is not triggering a correction in the email body that I have tried to recreate.

Hi David,

Thanks for reporting this and for the effort to recreate our setup.
It's strange...we have a very similar view under the Contacts > Activity tab, and the same text is triggering:

We definitely want to fix this, but will need a bit of help from you. Could you please let us know:
1. If Sapling is working on other websites.
2. If you see Sapling suggestions elsewhere in SFDC -- for example when you click on someone's email under the Contacts tab.

If you have an email we can reach you at, we can also suggest a couple other ways to diagnose this.

Thanks,
Ziang

Ziang, it would appear that everything is working just fine for us now.  I think that there might have been some conflict/interference as I still had Grammerly turned on and installed to my Chrome.  It appears to be working correctly in our SFDC right now.

Thank you for connecting me with your company/app.

That's great to hear, David!

Please don't hesitate to reach out here or to support@sapling.ai with any issues.
We're about to release a new version (your extension should be automatically upgraded), which should make the experience a bit smoother.
