when we click the Go on 'Recently viewed contacts' we will get a List view, i need to customize that view. is it Possible?

can you elaborate your question.you can use visualforce page. if you just want to add/remove columns(max 15 columns include here) just click edit near the recently viewed contact listview drop down . now you can edit/remove columns you need

this is the latest update from salesforce

  No, you can't copy the out of the box "Recently Viewed [standard object label]" listview today. This is a general limitation of listviews today.
 
Certainly agree that salesforce needs to provide a customizable listview scope for "recently viewed" and we do have an effort underway to improve listviews in general but in case there is anyone who isn't aware the list that shows up on the object Tab page, which is the list of recently viewed record for the user *can* be configured under setup. 
 
To do this as an administrator navigate to the "Search Layouts" for the object in question and modify the layout named "[object plural label] Tab" .  Doesn't address the idea directly but a little configuration there might help your users today.
