Are you talking about " To specify who runs the report in a report subscription" permission? It will require “Subscribe to Reports: Set Running User” permission.  Take a look here Subscribe to Get Refreshed Report Results in Lightning Experience

@Pritam Shekhawat - I am actually talking about mass subscribing users to a report. I am an admin and responsible for building and scheduling reports. Since the report schedule feature isn't available in Lightning, I need to be able to subscribe people to reports instead.

In lightning if you want to subscribe reports for other users then you should require Subscribe to Reports: Add Recipients permission on your profile.

@Pritam Shekhawat - I see the "Subscribe to Reports" setting under "System Permissions" and it is already checked. However, I don't see the "Add Recipients" permission under "System Permissions". Am I looking in the wrong place?

@Pritam Shekhawat - I see the "Subscribe to Reports" option but I don't see a "Subscribe to Reports - Add To Recipients" option.

Are you having system Admin profile? I am able to view it. Also, verify that Lightning is enabled for your profile?
Keith RichmondKeith Richmond
@Pritam Shekhawat - Yes, I am a system admin for my company. I think I figured out why I wasn't seeing it though. It appears that in order to activate the "Subscribe to Reports - Add To Recipients" option, the "Enable Access Levels For Sharing Report And Dashboard Folders" feature needs to be enabled which it currently isn't in my org. So you were right! And I just need to enable something else to get to where I need to go. Thank you!

@Keith how did you enable the "Enable Access Levels For Sharing Report And Dashboard Folders" feature?

@Jamee Jenkins - It was the setting below.

Hi everyone, Can someone help to understand where to go  for "Subscribe to Reports - Add To Recipients" permission. I read the post but still not clear.
I have created a report in lightning and want to subscribe users to get it daily.
Dennis WelterDennis Welter
@Parul Tripathi, you have to go to salesforce classic and enter "Folder Sharing" in the Quick Find box, then select "Folder Sharing". There you can enable the feature and then you should see the field for the profiles

Why am I not seeing the 'folder sharing' option in the setup?

My options are checked per the instructions here, but I still don't have the option in Lightning of subscribing others to reports...

@stacy Jewell - You need to do 2 things:

1) Go to Salesforce Classic. In Setup go to Reports & Dashboards > Folder Sharing. Make sure "Enable access levels for sharing report and dashboard folders" is checked.
2) Go back to Lightning. In Setup > Profile, you should now see "Subscribe to Reports: Add Recipients" in the admin permission. Make sure it is checked.

Thank you @marie  That fixed it for me.

From previous comments: 'Go to Salesforce Classic. In Setup go to Reports & Dashboards > Folder Sharing. Make sure "Enable access levels for sharing report and dashboard folders"'

I cannot find this. Is anybody else in the same situation?

Try typing in "Folder Sharing" in the Quick Find box. in Salesforce Classic.

I've tried searching for folder sharing and reports and dashboards but none of these exist in my profile.

Has anyone seen any negative effects from turning on Folder Sharing? Nervous about making this change, but really want to be able to subscribe others to reports.

Hi All,
I have everything selected as per above instructions, yet I still can't select any user to receive the subscribed report other than myself. Anyone has any other idea as to why?
Thanks,
CB

@Jamee Jenkins how did you get to the folder sharing screen you referenced above? Was it in Lightning or Classic.   I am so close but can't seem to get the Profiles to allow me to edit .. sounds like the same issue you were having. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

@ Elizabeth Peggs

From another comment above, Go to Salesforce Classic. In Setup go to Reports & Dashboards > Folder Sharing. Make sure "Enable access levels for sharing report and dashboard folders" is checked.
I believe this is what I did, but it was so long ago I can't remember.

@jamee jenkins - thanks ... i did that in classic but still no joy - thought possibly I needed also to do it in lightning somewhere.  I can see the chek box but it won't allow me to change it.  Much appreciated.
