Richard,

Yes.  You will need to setup a segmentation list and an engagement studio or a drip program that will run and send the email when a lead is set to the status or statuses you have chosen. 

For Example, I have a segmentation list called "Attempting Prospects', this list has a set of dynamic list rules that match any of the following criteria:

Prospect custom field = Call Result is Bad Number
Prospect custom field = Call Result is Left Voicemail
Prospect custom field = Call Result is Voicemail Not Allowed
and
Prospect custom field = Lead Status is Prospect 

Then I have a Drip program that sends out a set of emails to this list and when the status changes from one and no longer meets the segmentation rules then the lead falls off the email drip program campaign and the segmented list.
