A few new-to-lightning questions

I've recently moved my team over to lightning and I have a few questions!
1) Is there a way to get the related and details tabs content all on one screen?
2) Is there a way to remove "chatter" or remove it to the left side? Or is that a permanent configuration?
3) I'm confused by the "notes and attachments" and files. I thought "notes and attachments" were only shown in classic and had to be converted to salesforce files in order to show up in Lightning. Did I get that wrong?
-If I'm seeing both notes and attachments, as well as files, are they duplicative? Should I remove notes and attachments, assuming they're the old "classic" way of looking at files...? I'm a) not sure if I'm looking at this right, and b) trying to avoid our team having duplicate files/notes/attachments, or two places to put them, to avoid confusion or potential loss of documents as I bring them all over to Lightning.

Thank you so much for your thoughts - this community has been immensely helpful to me!

If you want to have different component for a related list, use the Related List - Single lightning component from the left panel.

For the first two questions, refer this module(quite simple): https://trailhead.salesforce.com/en/content/learn/modules/lightning_app_builder/lightning_app_builder_recordpage

For Q3, No, they are not getting duplicated so no extra storage space is being used. And there is no issue having both on the layout.

Yes, you can do this but be careful as it will reduce page load times if you put too much on the initial screen. There is a standard lightning component called "Related List Quick Links" that you can drag onto the page layout. It is a nice compromise.

2) Is there a way to remove "chatter" or remove it to the left side? Or is that a permanent configuration?
You can drag and drop any lightning component whereever you wish. If it part of a tab you can just delete or rename the tab after you move the component.

Notes and attachment can show in Lightning, however I suggest switching to the Enhanced notes and files as they are far more robust and easier to use.  If you haven't already I suggest the magic mover to make the switch (https://appexchange.salesforce.com/appxListingDetail?listingId=a0N3A00000EHAmyUAH) then when ready just update the 'classic' "page layouts" to remove "notes and attachments" related list.

Narender and Susan thank you so much for your answers! I will probably keep the tab layout instead of merging all to once screen based on your answer, Susan. Or at least if we merge them and things get slow I know what the culprit is!

I'm having trouble dragging and dropping Lightning components. They all show up in one box outlined in blue and are not individual. I just updated the app to the Lightning version, but I think I am missing something since it's not letting me drag and drop individual components. When I'm in the pages it still tells me "upgrade this app to Lightning to personalize it. I did upgrade the app but it's like the lightning version is not being pulled and the classic version is still showing up. Any ideas?

Thank you Narender! I was able to figure out what you were talking about (I'm so new at Salesforce!) and I built the page the way I want it, but it's still showing up the old way inside my contacts. I thought I activated it right but perhaps I haven't. Any ideas for how to get my contact page edits to actually show up when looking at contacts? THANK YOU!

I think I got it to work. I had been afraid to activate it as the default for the org but it worked when I did that. Thanks for all your help, Narender!
