Assign a hidden date field to a custom object for reporting reference

Hi Community - I have a custom object, that automatically assigns an updated rank based on a contacts sales with us.

e.g. if they are over 1,000,000 they are assigned a rank of 1, over 500k, assigned 2, etc.
The ranking is automatically setup using process builder. Sales are updated daily, so the field is dynamic such that rankings change often.

One thing I'd like to implement is a a date field for reference - so I can track week-to-week, or month-to-month how we are trending with these ranks. Is there a simple way to do this? perhaps it is a formula that I need to add to the process builder, but am a little stuck.
The custom object "6_month_net_sales__c" is a child of the parent Contact, for reference.

Thanks!

Assuming you're tracking the field with history tracking then you should be able to report on it. Alternatively you could create additional fields and update them with your flow e.g. "previous week rank" of course that doesn't scale out very well :(. You might need to explore snapshot reporting.
