Quotas in SFDC

Hi, 

we have recently started using SFDC for our company. There were a couple of samples (ACME) in SFDC and report and Dashboard examples.

When I click the company dashboards there is a revenue quota set in one graph (actuals vs. quota). I do not know where this quota comes from.

Looking through the knowledge base I find information that you can manage users and edit a quota list for your users. This lists I do neither find in the ADMINISTER - manage users section not in the BUILD - customize - forecastasting section.

I have enabled forecasting. (do not know if this is relevant)

Any ideas what I can do to change the already set quota as I do not know how to change the value.

In standard, there is no user interface to edit quotas: you're supposed to use the Dataloader.

However, there's a very usefull free app on the Appexchange allowing you to edit quotas directly in Salesforce:
