Can you run a report on user license type? I can't seem to be able to use User License Field.

Gina, I suspect you want more than just these fields? On most SF editions you can create a User License report, however it doesn't pull in helpful fields like User Name. You can create this via export tools like DataLoader and us vLookUp in Excel to create a report like this. You can also vote on an Idea that sounds like what you want here:

There is a view of used licenses in the Company profile:

Setup > Administer > Company Profile > Company Information

I created a custom report type on User and included all the fields available. I found one call "Profile: User License: Name" that allows me to ping on text of a License Type.

Does this help with "Service Cloud" vs "Sales Cloud" Counts? I tried and only see these lumped together as "Salesforce" license types (I also see Chatter Free as a separate type though)
