Why, with three columns, is there a limit of 20 components to a dashboard?

Logic would indicate that if allow for three columns of data, people may want to use each column to compare three areas or timeframes of data (ie Year to Date, Month to Date and Last Full Month). However, with a limit of only 20 components to a dashboard, one of these areas is destined to be short one report because 20 is not divisible by 3. How hard would it be to increase the component limit to 21 in order to allow anyone utilizing the three columns for comparison purposes to have the same reports for each area?

It's just a limit of Dashboards, this is a forum of SFDC customers, admins, users, developers, etc.  we don't work for SFDC and didn't build or design it.

You should probably post an idea on the Idea Exchange to have the limit increased
