setting individual user NOT to expire password

Hello SFDC Community
I have a login user I'm using for accesing API (well I'm not actually doing it, we hired a person to do the actual coding) anyway, I was wondering how to I set an individual user NOT to expire password.  I know I can set general password polices, but don't want to change this for all users.

Thanks!
Bill

You have to clone the System Administrator Profile, rename it whatever you'd like, then you can check the Password Never Expires box. You can't do this on standard Profiles.

duh I found it, I believe it's in the Profile (Password Never Expires)

In the user profile under

Administrative Permissions

set Password Never Expires to true

I have tried this, but I am unable to flag Password Never Expires.  I have tried (as another Answer I located) had suggested:  Creating a Permission Set just to give permission to Set Password Never Expires, to my user name.  But still unable to flag Password Never Expires for System Administrator Profile.  Help?

You don't have to clone standards profiles to do this. Just go to the profile -> Password Policies -> Select User passwords expire in : Never expires

Even though the other answer is already marked as I hope other people find this helpful.

This policy is for all users not a specific one as OP requested

You can set your password policy on a profile level (so only for users with that profile) or you can set it via  Setup - Security Controls - Password Policies. But in this last option it will be for all users.
