Add a link to a Word Document on the users home page

I want to add a link to a word document on the users home page.  Each time I load the document, it appears under the "Recent Items" section of the home page.  I want the document link to appear under the "Shortcut' section.

    You could create a custom link and add it to your home page.

     

    Setup->Home->custom Links.
