Person Account Restriction

2 questions relating to Person Accounts. We have decided to use only Person Accounts and no contacts. There is 1 group  (Support Team) that logs cases relating to Person Accounts and 1 group (Sales) that creates/edits regular and Person Accounts.

1. We want to limit the Support Team to only be able to edit/create Person Accounts. Is this possible out of the box?
2. Also - They usually relate the case to a Regular Account and/or a Person Account and they populate the Contact field with a Person Account. If the Person they are logging a case for isn't in the system, they will need to add a person account from the lookup dialog. Is it possible to do this from the contact lookup dialog out of th ebox?

Can they edit/create and view...sure.  You set all of this at the Profile level.
Manage Users/Profile - Click on their profile and scroll down to Accounts and check or uncheck what you want.  But this is going to be true for ALL accounts.

2. For question two, Person accounts are Accounts....not contacts.  Yes, I understand sometimes they behave like contacts, but they would need to create new Account...so can't do this from contact lookup.
