I want to restrict a new user so he can't see all the existing accounts

One of our employee / user left our company and I replaced him by a new sales person.  I changed already the identification so now the new person have access to all the contact and account of the previous sales person however I want to restrict him to see my accounts and Leads (for safety reason).

 

How can I do that? As the administrator I still want to have access to all the informations of all the users.

    With EE you have a lot of flexibility. :)

     

    I would suggest that you set Org Wide Defaults to PRIVATE so that only the opp owner see its own opp. As an admin, you'll still see everything (assuming that you are using the default Sys Admin role). You can then open up permissions using criteria based sharing rules or roles so that in some cases some users can see other opps that they do not own.
