Add Activity to Account Level

We use both Person Accounts and Business Accounts.

I know when you create a task from a Contact, it automatically rolls into the Account detail.

With the Person Account, this is not the case.

Our Person Accounts are connected to the Business account via a lookup field.

Is there a trigger or workflow rule which will roll a Person Account activity to the Business Account it is attached to automatically???
In other words, when a new task or new event is created on the person account, (not an email or a call) I want that activity to land on the business account detail.

Is this possible???

Why are you not just using Contacts related to the Biz Accounts rather than Person Accounts related to them?

I do not have PAs enabled to test, but can you relate a PA to an Activity via the Name field or only the Related To field? If Name, you could either practice adding the BA to the Related To field, or create a custom New Task button that autopopulates the Related To and Name fields with the PA and BA.

But no, otherwise there is no functionality to have activity related to a record show in the Activity History related list of a different record it is related to via a custom lookup relationship.

Can you explain more about what you are saying about a custom task button.. could a custom new task button on the person account have an automatically populated related to field??? Maybe

Can you confirm:

Can Person Accounts be selected from the Name field on a Task or are they only accessible via the Related To field?

Well I noticed that if I created a new task from the person account and it will populate the name field AND the related to Account field. Though the related to field is actually the person account.. If i manually change the related to field to the Business account (company) it will roll to both the Person Account and the Business Account.
