We're a small company with engineers also running our SF. We want to send out slick newsletters and mailchimp looks good for this. However we have loaded all our google contacts into salesforce so ~3500 contacts but each campaign will only go to ~1-200 contacts so mailchimp free should do the job.

I've set up my personal mailchimp account and can import all the SF contacts but since >2000 it locks me into a paying account. If I import a limited subset by csv MC flags it as spam.

I then tried to start the campaign and list in the MC app in SF. My problem now is that a director connected his mailchimp account some years ago and now forgotten what he did and doesn't have time to play around with it. I can do a query in MC4SF but appears I then must have access to the connected SF mailchimp.

Can we connect another MC account to SF or can someone give me a simple step by step direction for my director of how to delete his current MC account from SF so we can add a new one?

Hi Nicklas - since you can't have 2 simultaneous connected accounts, you'll have to disconnect the old one first. I think you have two options: you can either regain access to the old MailChimp account (password recovery?) and Disconnect the Integration (http://kb.mailchimp.com/integrations/other-integrations/disconnect-an-integration) from within that account, or you could uninstall the MailChimp for Salesforce app from Salesforce and reinstall it by connecting to the new account.
