export contacts to excel - no export details button

Hi, I created a report for the contacts I want to export, but there is no
"Export Details button" available once I run the report. Is this because I'm using the new version of Salesforce or because I'm on a Mac? Am I forced to use an external tool or is there a way to export contacts within Salesforce?

It shou fit sounds like your Admin didn't give you rights to export, ask them for permission.

if that's not the case please add a screenshot of what you're seeing.

Nailed it! I was using the new Lightning version. I guess it's not ready for primetime yet. I'll keep an eye out for it's progress before switching back. My guess is that I would stumble across other things I need before long if I keep using it. Thanks!

Yes using Lightning you have to keep mind it's limitation as well. Hopefully Salesforce overcome with these limitation in next some releases.

I did discover that if you switch back to Salesforce Classic view, you can export to Excel.
