Allow user to run dashboard as another user

I have a set of users that used to be able to run a dahsboard as a shared group user without having to log out of their personal account and log into the shared account.
We had an admin do some changes right before he left and now they can no longer change the running user to that specific shared user. They can change it to other users, just not that one. I have looked through all permissions, sharing, etc and can't for the life of me figure out why. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks!
As a note: the indidvidual users and the shared user are in the same profile and role.

Hi Amanda,
Go to Dashboards - Open the specific dashboard snapshot that your users use and on the right side check the "Let authorized users change running user"
Let me if that works. Thank youUser-added image

Hi Dipti, that option is already selected which is why I am so confused. I made sure their role has access to the dashboard, the dashboard folder and the reports folder and they still cannot change the running user on this dashboard.

Hi Amanda,
Can you try this - Go to the profile of the UserUser-added image - see if the following option is checked?

I should add that I can change the running user on this dashboard as an admin, but no one else seems to be able to so I think it is a permissions thing, but every permission I can think of looks right. I said in my original question that they could change the running user to other users, just not the one in question but that was wrong. I have tried logging in as several different users and none of them can change the running user to anyone but themself.

Yes that is checked. The only thing that seems to work is checking "View all Data". I have tried only checking "VIew Dashboards in Public Folders" and "View Reports in Public Folders" but those don't work. I'd rather not have "View All Data" checked as it is overwritting other permissions. I just can't figure out which permission is conflicting.

I could not think of anything other that 'View all data'. You said if 'view all data' is set, it is working, right?

Yes, and I agree that seems to be the only option aside from creating each person their own reports/dashboards. Thanks!

Did you get this figured out, Amanda?  We will not be granting "View all Data" for this purpose, so I'm curious if you found a real solution?

Brian, The only other way besides "View All Data" is "View My Team's Dashboard's" like Deepthi mentioned. It is detailed in the documentation here (https://help.salesforce.com/articleView?id=dashboards_select_running_user.htm&type=5). Probably not the answer you were hoping for since Roles can't always be easily changed to accomodate report visibility.
