Updating a view

Hi All,

When clicking on a custom object, the view is defaulted to "All"  I updated the "All" view to include additional fields, but they are not appearing until you click on the "Go" button.  Is there a way when someone clicks on a custom object that those fields will show up without having to click on "Go"?

Can you post a screenshot of the List View settings and the List View results you're seeeing?

I am guessing that's an expected behaviour. You'll have to click Go to get to that specific List View.

Here is an Idea [under PRODUCT TEAM REVIEW] asking for the same request:

Recent [Object] Home page Default view

Thanks All.

Steve, when I click on an object all I receive is the auto number that the object record creates

Okay a few things...  That's not really what I asked you for (but lets try to work with it)

That looks like a Custom Object Tab, and the default List View.

When you go into the Object Tab settings did you add the other fields there?

Hi Katie.

By default, when you click on a tab, Salesforce automatically displays a list of the most recent records of the particular object, instead of an actual list view. Luckily, that recent record list can be customized via the following:

Setup -> Build -> Create -> Objects -> <Object Name> -> Search Layouts -> <Object Name> Tab

Click on the Edit button and specify the fields that you would like to display on the Recent list. I understand that this isn't the exact behavior that you are looking for, but at least you can customize those fields that are displayed.

It may also be possible to create a custom Visualforce tab with a list view, and override the tab on the custom object.
